A 1956 Head Start for Young Savers

Now through December 31st, new youth accounts (17 & under) receive a $19.56 bonus deposit.

To join IU Credit Union, you must be an individual or entity qualifying within the Credit Union’s field of membership. A $5.00 ownership share is required in a Membership Savings account. This account must be established in order to open any additional products or services. The $5.00 ownership share will not be accessible for withdrawals or overdraft transfer, but will continue to earn dividends.

A parent, legal guardian or grandparent must be listed as a joint owner on all Youth M3 accounts (for ages under 13) and Youth Elements accounts (for ages 13-17) in accordance with the Credit Union’s membership requirements. All account owners must be eligible for membership.

Eligibility

• Promotion is valid for new youth memberships only.
• Youth account holder must be under the age of 18 at the time of account opening.
• A parent, legal guardian or grandparent must be a joint owner.

Bonus Payment

• The $19.56 bonus will be deposited into the youth account within 30 days of account opening.
• Bonus is considered dividends and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT.
• Account must remain open for at least 90 days, or an early closure fee may apply.

Additional Terms

• One bonus per new youth membership.
• Offer subject to change or termination at any time.
