This year, IU Credit Union offered ten $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Scholarships were offered to students at Bloomington North, Bloomington South, Center Grove, Eastern Greene, Edgewood, Greenwood, The Academy of Science & Entrepreneurship, Owen Valley and two at-large high schools or home school. Seven scholarships were awarded. Applications were not received from Eastern Greene, Center Grove, or Greenwood. Congratulations to the winners!

IU Credit Union is the Presenting Sponsor of City of Bloomington Parks & Recreation’s Independence Day Reverse Parade on Saturday, July 3rd. Cruise by in your vehicle while parade entries are stationery at Memorial Stadium in the Purple Lot. Viewing starts at 10 am and ends at noon. Happy 4th!

IU Credit Union is up, up and away with its first branded Hot Air Balloon, owned and operated by Bloomington Balloon Rides! Located at the Monroe County airport on South Kirby Road in Bloomington, Bloomington Balloon Rides offers several flight packages to choose from, if you decide to take an adventure of your own. Owner and pilot Andy Richardson is a native Hoosier, who recently relocated back to Indiana after spending seven years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the balloon capital of the world. Andy also owns and operates one of the USA’s largest hot air balloon manufacturing companies, Adams Balloons, which is renowned for their special shapes.
IU Credit Union’s balloon stands at 10 stories tall, and we believe this is the largest IUCU icon that will ever be printed!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Kurt Jourdan as Mortgage Origination Manager. Jourdan has worked for IUCU since 2008, when he was hired as a teller. In his time at IUCU, he has served in several leadership positions, including Branch Supervisor, Assistant Branch Manager, and most recently, Winslow Branch Manager. Jourdan currently serves as treasurer of the board for the Leadership Bloomington Monroe County Alumni Association, and recently joined the board of the Monroe County History Center. He has volunteered for numerous community events on behalf of IUCU, including Habitat for Humanity Kickoff Breakfast, yard cleanup for Area 10 Agency on Aging, and Stone Belt’s annual celebration. |

With the addition of these counties, IUCU membership is now open to anyone who lives or works in one of our 65 eligible Indiana counties, or who has an immediate family member that is a current IUCU member.
