IUCU pledged $30,000, paid in $10,000 installments over three years to New Hope for families for construction of a new shelter for people experiencing homelessness. In 2015, IUCU pledged $250,000, paid in $50,000 installments over five years, to endow a new scholarship for Indiana residents attending IU Bloomington. The IUCU scholarship will be available to undergraduate students with financial need. This contribution reflects the fifth and final installment.

 

Girls Inc. - $15,000

IUCU made a onetime contribution to Girls Inc. to help the organization expand its transportation through the purchase a new van.

 

Hoosier Hills Food Bank - $10,000

IUCU made a onetime contribution to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank’s campaign to purchase a new refrigerated box truck.

Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame - $5,000

IUCU made a one-time contribution to the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame. The contributions was designated for its campaign to build of a memorial facility at Fort Benjamin Harrison to honor Indiana Veterans.

In 2015, IUCU pledged $30,000, paid $10,000 installments over three years, to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington for its BIG Futures Capital Campaign. This contribution reflects the second installment.

Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington - $10,000

IUCU pledged $30,000, paid $10,000 installments over three years, to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington for its BIG Futures Capital Campaign. The Campaign was launched in April to raise $6 million for renovations of the Club’s Lincoln Street Unit as well as relocation and expansion of its Crestmont Unit. This contribution reflects the first installment.

Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington held a capital campaign to expand its buildings on the Bloomington campus. IUCU made a $20,000 contribution in support of this initiative.

Community Kitchen held a capital campaign to expand their services at a new location on South Rogers Street. In 2011, IUCU pledged $30,000 to be paid in three annual installments. This contribution reflects the third and final installment.

 

The University Graduate School IUCU Graduate Dissertation Fellowship - $10,000

The purpose of this fellowship is to provide financial assistance to support a doctoral student in his or her final year to complete their dissertation expeditiously by reducing the burden to seek additional employment. In 2008, IUCU committed to $50,000 to be paid in five annual installments. This contribution reflects the final installment.

Franklin Initiative Graduation Coach Program - $10,000

Graduation coaches are experienced social workers employed by the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce who work in schools to build supportive relationships with at-risk students.

Community Kitchen held a capital campaign to expand their services at a new location on South Rogers Street. In 2011, IUCU pledged $30,000 to be paid in three annual installments. This contribution reflects the second installment.

Middle Way House New Wings Community Partnership - $10,000

The goal of this project is to provide affordable housing and shelter for those fleeing violence at home as well as child care facilities for resident children. In 2008, IUCU pledged $30,000 to be paid in three annual installments. This contribution reflects the third and final installment.

 

Bloomington Hospital Foundation - $10,000

This donation supported Hospice House and Hoosiers Outrun Cancer.
