High School Scholarships  |  Continuing Student Scholarships

The IU Credit Union wants to help you succeed. College tuition is rising, making it more difficult to find adequate funding. Each year, IU Credit Union offers $31,000 in scholarships to members.

High School Scholarships
Are you graduating from high school in the spring of 2014?

We're offering $10,000 ($1,000 to each school) in scholarships to graduating students from Bloomington North, Bloomington South, Brown County, Lighthouse Christian Academy, Edgewood, Eastern Greene, Bedford North Lawrence, The Academy of Science & Entrepreneurship, Owen Valley and Martinsville High School.

There is also one $1,000 scholarship available to members who attend a high school other than one of the aforementioned.

Am I eligible?
High School scholarships are for graduating high school seniors who intend to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited university or college.

The applicant, or their parent or guardian, must be an IU Credit Union member in good standing and maintain that membership status throughout the duration of the award. A member in good standing is defined as one with a minimum balance of $5 in his or her account and no loan delinquencies.

The applicant must have a high school grade point average of 3.25 or higher.

The applicant cannot be an IU Credit Union employee or official. Family members of IU Credit Union employees or officials are also ineligible. Ineligible family members include: spouse, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, sibling, father, or mother.

How do I apply?
Download the High School Scholarship Application and mail to: ATTN: Mechelle Farris, IU Credit Union, P.O. Box 368, Bloomington, IN 47402-0368.

Mailed applications must be postmarked by April 4, 2014. Materials postmarked after this date will not be considered.

Continuing Student Scholarships
Are you attending Indiana University or Ivy Tech Community College in the fall of 2014?

We're offering $20,000 in scholarships to IU Credit Union members attending Indiana University or Ivy Tech Community College, either full-time or part-time.

Awards are as follows:
  Full-time Part-time
 Indiana University $2,150 $1,100
 Ivy Tech Community College $1,700 $850

Am I eligible?
Continuing Student scholarships are for students in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at Indiana University or Ivy Tech Community College.

The applicant must be an IU Credit Union member in good standing and maintain that membership status throughout the duration of the award. A member in good standing is defined as one with a minimum balance of $5 in his or her account and no loan delinquencies.

The applicant must be accepted to, or currently enrolled in, a degree program or an undergraduate certificate program at Indiana University or Ivy Tech Community College.

The applicant cannot be an IU Credit Union employee or official. Family members of IU Credit Union employees or officials are also ineligible. Ineligible family members include: spouse, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, sibling, father, or mother.
