We understand that you rely on the safety, convenience and flexibility of using your IU Credit Union debit and/or credit card, especially when traveling. While fulfilling this service relationship, IU Credit Union also complies with federal regulations prohibiting transaction activity from originating in certain countries.

What this means to you.
Plastic card fraud continues to increase dramatically. To help protect your account and fight fraudulent activity, the Credit Union may occasionally need to take immediate action to block transactions in a particular area or the country.
Other debit and/or credit card use is blocked or restricted based on fraud experience:
Bridge and toll road charges to IU Credit Union credit cards are blocked in Spain, Italy, and France.
* Due to fraudulent activity, a limit on credit card transactions in Japan has been set to no more than three (3) transactions totaling $1,000.00 per day. Note: This does not apply to debit cards.
** "Card not present" transactions (merchant does not physically swipe card) greater than or equal to $25.00 will be declined.
^ Maximum of 5 transactions per day. Of the 5, no more than 3 ATM cash withdrawals. Any single transaction amount cannot exceed $200.00. Daily ATM cash total of $500.00. Daily overall merchandise total of $1,000.00.
