Debit Card upgrade to MasterCard®

Your IU Credit Union Visa® Debit Card has been upgraded to a Debit MasterCard.

 

Debit Card Upgrade Overview

On April 22, 2013, all existing Visa Consumer and Business Debit Cards were automatically upgraded to a new and even better Debit MasterCard with enhanced benefits.

• If you have not activated your card and a PIN was mailed to you, activate your card following the instructions on the card's sticker by calling 877-296-2733 or activate it with the PIN at any IU Credit Union ATM.

• You can change your PIN after activating your card by calling the number listed on the PIN mailer and your card carrier. You may also change your PIN at any IU Credit Union ATM.

• Existing Visa cardholders were assigned a new card number, three-digit security code, expiration date, and PIN.

• To ensure uninterrupted service, all cardholders will need to provide their new card information to any merchants who automatically bill their debit card.

If a member becomes dissatisfied with a product they purchase with their card, they may be eligible for a refund for the cost of the product, if the store will not accept a return.

1. Why did you switch from VISA to MasterCard?
We want to make your banking relationship more valuable to you. Your new card will provide added convenience, security and savings benefits at no added cost to you.

2. Will I enjoy free ATM access?
Yes! Transactions are free when you use your new Debit MasterCard at any IU Credit Union machine, plus thousands of CO-OP and Alliance One network ATMs.

3. Is there a cost with this change or will my banking fees change?
We will not charge you or increase your fees with the switchover to MasterCard. We welcome you to use your new Debit MasterCard as if nothing has changed.

4. Can I keep my old card instead?
No, your Visa Debit Card no longer works.

 

Verify Your Address
If you did not receive correspondence from us through the mail (such as your PIN and your new card), please ensure that your address on file with us is correct.

• Check your latest statement mailing from IU Credit Union. Your address information will also appear on eStatements.

• If you have not received mail from us in several months, you may call Member Service at 812-855-7823 or toll free 888-855-MYCU(6928) or visit any branch to verify your account information.

• If you know your address is incorrect, you may request an address change through Online Banking, by visiting any branch, or by printing and completing an Address Change Form.
