eStatements & eNotices

Save paper, money and time with eStatements & eNotices through our eDocument Services.

You can now have your monthly or quarterly IU Credit Union statement, and your account notices and tax forms made available to you electronically through our secure Online Banking site.

• You’ll help save the environment by cutting down on paper production, which saves trees and
   reduces air pollution.
• You’ll help reduce Credit Union costs by eliminating paper and postage.

It’s easy to enroll.
• Login to your Online Banking account—call or visit a branch if you do not currently have access.
• Click the eServices tab > Products & Services.
• Click Enter under eDocuments and agree to the Disclosure and Agreement.
• Next, enter your email address, where we will send an email invitation to view your statement or
  notices each time a new one becomes available.

1. What are eStatements?
eStatements are paperless copies of your monthly or quarterly statements delivered electronically through Online Banking. When you sign up for eStatements, you will no longer receive statements through the mail.

2. What are eNotices and eTaxForms?
eNotices and eTaxForms are paperless copies of the following forms:

eNotices
• Certificate Maturity or Renewal Notice
• Consumer Loan - Past Due Payment Notice
• Consumer Line of Credit - Over Limit Notice
• Overdraft Privilege Notice
• Insufficient Funds Notice
• Uncollected Funds Notice
• Safe Deposit - Notice of Upcoming Charge for Annual Rental Fee

eTax Forms
• 1099 INT Information Return
• 1098 Information Return
• 1042-S Information Return

3. How much does the eDocument service cost?
There is no charge for the eDocument service.

4. How do I sign up for eDocuments?
To sign up for eDocuments, simply login to Online Banking and click the eServices tab > Products and Services. Enter eDocuments; you must agree to the disclosure and agreement before you can continue.

5. Will I need an additional password?
No, because you have already logged into the secure Online Banking environment.

6. Can I access eDocuments outside of Online Banking?
IU Credit Union eDocuments must be accessed via Online Banking because of the secure environment. If you do not currently use Online Banking, visit any branch or give us a call at 812-855-7823 or toll free 888-855-MYCU and press option 9 to speak with a member service representative.

7. Do I need special software to view my eDocuments?
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view your eDocuments. If you do not currently have it installed, you can click on the Adobe link that appears on the eDocuments home page.

8. How do I know when my eDocuments are ready to view?
You will receive an email (at the address you provide upon enrolling) inviting you to view new eDocuments.

9. What if I change my email address, but forget to update it?
If your email is returned to us as undeliverable, we will send a letter to your mailing address on file, notifying you that your eStatement or eNotice is ready to view and asking you to update your email address.

10. Does updating my email address in Online Banking update the email address in eDocuments as well?
No, you will need to update your email address in both places. To change your email address for eDocuments, click on the eServices tab > Products and Services in Online Banking, enter eDocuments, and go to “Member Preferences.”

11. How do I print my eDocuments?
Click the printer icon in the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar to print your entire notice, statement or specific pages.

12. Do I need to save my eDocuments or will they be archived?
You may save your eDocuments to a disk or folder on your computer by clicking the diskette icon on the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar. eStatements, eNotices and eTaxForms will also be archived for a period of two years.

13. Can I receive paper statements and notices as well as the electronic versions?
No, you must choose either paper or electronic for each account number.

14. Are my eDocuments safe and secure?
Yes, because they are housed within our secure Online Banking environment.

15. When will my eStatement and eNotices be available?
Your eStatement will be available within 2-3 business days of your statement cycle date; earlier than you would receive a paper statement. eNotices will be available as soon as they are generated.

16. How long will my eDocuments be available?
Your eStatement and eNotices will be archived and available to view for a period of two years.

17. What if I want to cancel eDocuments?
If at any time you would like to cancel eDocuments and resume receiving paper statements and notices, go to the eServices tab > Products and Services in Online Banking and click on "Enter” under eDocuments and then click on "Member Preferences". Choose “All by paper” from Document Delivery Preference. If you withdraw your consent, you will no longer receive your statements and notices electronically. Statements and notices issued after your withdrawal is effective will be mailed to your mailing address on record.
